On March 28, 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between NGO CulturePolis and the UNESCO Chair "On Threats to Cultural Heritage and Cultural Heritage Related Activities" of the Ionian University.
This newly established chair is operated by the Laboratory of Geocultural Analysis (GEOLab) of the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpretation, headed by the holder of the chair and director of the laboratory, Prof. Stavros Katsios.
The two parties start their cooperation to develop and implement collaborative academic and research initiatives related to the protection and safeguarding of cultural heritage.
We are sure that soon there will be positive initiatives and actions in Corfu and the Ionian Islands.
