The graduation days at the Ionian University's Departments on 7th-8th December 2023 offer the opportunity to share a small but important part of our university's and island's intangible heritage: a publication on the first graduation ceremony of the Ionian University in April 1989; the first graduates were students of the Department of Foreign Languages and Interpreting. This issue of the "KERKYRA" newspaper (April 10, 1989) was rescued along with the rest of the library, archive and instruments of the "Elaia Institute" (Olive Institute) of Cofu by the research team of the Laboratory for Geocultural Analysis (GEOLAB) and was transported to the Laboratory at the Ionian University with the permission of the "ELGO Dimitra" Public Organisation.
