Human Rights in the Information Age:
Reference points of history, law, ethics and culture
Co-organization of the Cultural and Historical Heritage Documentation Laboratory of TABM, Ionian University and the IHRC Research Group of TABM, Ionian University with the cooperation of the UNESCO Chair of the Ionian University on threats to cultural heritage and cultural heritage related activities.
Focus of the conference's interdisciplinary themes is the human rights in relation to information in terms of history, regulation (law and ethics) and culture. For the purposes of the conference, "human rights" means all fundamental human rights, protected in international, EU and domestic law. Examples include: the value and dignity of man, equality, personal freedom, freedom of speech and expression, freedom of the press, freedom of art, research, teaching, education, the right to culture, intellectual property, privacy and personal data. Information is understood in its broadest sense (either embedded in a carrier or independent of its carrier) in any management environment.
