At the Workshop—Ancient Wisdom for Modern Challenges the main speaker was Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development Columbia University, New York. Speakers were also Mrs Bing Song, Vice President of the Berggruen Institute, Director of the Berggruen Beijing Center at Peking University and Prof. Robin Wang, Director of Asian Pacific Studies, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. The Workshop was attended Elena Avramidou, Associate Professor of Philosophy (Peking University), and member of the Steering Committee of the UNESCO Chair on Threats to Culturl Heritage of the Ionian University.
