Associate Professor Elena Avramidou, World Art History Institute, Shanghai International Studies University in China, Member of the Steering Committee of the UNESCO Chair on Threats to Cultural Heritage - TCHER at the Ιόνιο Πανεπιστήμιο - Ionian University, participated in the "Third Dialogue on Exchanges and Mutual Learning Among Civilizations" and the "First World Conference of Sinologists", that were held in Beijing and Qingdao from June 26 to July 4, 2023 by the Chinese Association for International Understanding and Beijing Language and Culture University.
The General Assembly of World Council of Sinologists was also held during the Conference.
Highlighting the theme of "Sinology and Inter-Civilization Exchanges and Mutual Learning", the Conference invited Sinologists from different countries and Chinese scholars to participate in academic seminars and relevant events.
Vice President of the People’s Republic of China, Han Zheng, High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, and Chairperson of the Executive Board of UNESCO, Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili, attended the opening ceremony of the Conference and delivered an address.
